VAUXHALL GLASS

Appearance |
Vauxhall has the fine quality of a good cylinder glass, but in addition it has the curved or bulging effect found in old Crown glass. |
|
Use |
Mainly in Georgian sashes in public or high quality listed buildings. It is the closest equivalent to Crown glass (which is no longer made). |

CYLINDER SHEET TYPE NR
|
Appearance |
A fine quality cylinder glass, similar to Vauxhall glass, but without the curve. It has a gently distorting reflection with small imperfections. |

Use |
This is the standard period window glass for Georgian, Victorian or Edwardian sashes. |

BALTIC LR
|
Appearance |
Baltic LR is a lower-quality cylinder glass with more surface marking including ream (fold marks) and seed (small bubbles). |

As repair, replacement or new glazing in 17th or 18th century farm buildings or 17th century leadlights. |

LAMINATED GLASS
|
Use |
To comply with current Building Regulations for hazardous areas (eg doors and low-level windows). All laminated glass should be glazed to BS6262 standard to prevent water or moisture reaching the edge of the glass.
